Basil Jones Jr

Basil Jones Jr is a 28-year-old from Kingston, Jamaica, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics (Major) and Media and Communication (Major) from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. He has worked professionally in the Jamaica Film and Television Industry for eight years, but has been an active participant in the craft since the age of 14, with guidance from his mentors Television Director/Producer Tanya E. Taylor and Lecturer/Filmmaker Franklyn St. Juste. He as worked on many local television series including lead editing Jamaica’s version of “Deal or No Deal” and lead editing “Heineken Green Synergy 2010” reality DJ competition. Basil has a good attitude towards professional television & video production and towards working with people from all walks of life. It is this positive attitude that gave way to prestigious international opportunities such as being apart of the Jamaican Crew of America's Next Top Model Cycle 20. Due to his attitude also, IMC gave him the opportunity to work as a Cameraman and the Editor in London, at the London2012 Olympics, as part of their Caribbean coverage. Apart from being a freelancer and running his own production company, he as to date produced a short story film, many documentaries, and numerous videos of varied purposes. Some of these videos are located on his YouTube page, which he actively uploads content (YouTube.com/basiljonesjr).
